It feels almost pointless to review music video games any more. Each of them is virtually identical except for the set list and the same is true with Green Day: Rock Band. If you are a fan of Rock Band games or of Green Day, this is a great game for you to own. If you are not a fan of either, then Green Day: Rock Band is not going to change your mind one bit.

There is not a lot to say about the game if you are already experienced with either Rock Band or Guitar Hero. You have a single player story where you go from one venue to the next playing Green Dayís greatest songs over the past two decades. There are forty-five songs to choose from, which is not a whole lot, but you can export them to Rock Band 2 if you want.

Overall, Green Day: Rock Band is a great collection of some of the bandís finest work. Fans should definitely consider picking up this game to live the life of Green Day in the virtual world. Itís not up to par to, say, The Beatles: Rock Band, but it is a solid collection of songs from one of the 90s best bands. More casual fans will probably want to wait for the price to come down before considering picking this up.
